2008年11月4日，澳大利亞Wollongong大學Gareth Davies博士來我所進行學術交流，作了題為“ Channel planform morphology of Macro-tidal Deltaic/Estuarine Systems in Northern Australia”的報告。

Gareth Davies博士目前的研究方向為潮控河道，報告主要介紹了影響澳大利亞北部地區潮控河道發育的影響參數及相互關系。會后，我所科研人員與其就相關問題進行了交流和討論。
